One hope that I have when I think about working with children and
families who come from diverse backgrounds is to integrate the community (families
and children) in the school setting and make them feel welcomed, as well as
creating a reliable environment for them to help each other or let me help
them.
One goal that I would like to set for the early childhood field related
to issues of diversity, equity, and social justice is to create more opportunities
for children and their families to talk about the specific issues in the community
and find solutions for them as a whole.
The course has been difficult for me because I had a lot of work and
some personal problems as well. I thank all my colleagues and the instructor because
I have learned a lot of things about myself and sharing some of my experience has
helped understand diversity better. I also have learned from my colleagues experiences
and I appreciate everybody for sharing some of the deepest situations.
